General Instructions: The online applications must be submitted within the deadline (i.e., 15/07/2015) and the printout of the application summary sheet must be posted to the Administrative Officer, Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, 4 Raja S.C. Mullick Road, Kolkata – 700032, along with attested copies of mark sheets, certificates, age proof, caste certificate, reprints of publications etc. together with a crossed Bank Draft of Rs.100/- drawn in favour of Director, IICB payable at Kolkata. The same should reach this office on or before 22/07/2015. The vacancy Code No. should be mentioned on the reverse of the Demand Draft. The envelope should be superscribed as “Application for the Vacancy Code No. 4101508″. Applications from candidates working in Government Departments/PSUs and Autonomous organizations will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel. After applying online, one copy of the application summary sheet with requisite fee may be forwarded to IICB as Advance copy and another copy of the same may be routed through the existing employer of the candidate. In any case, a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer should be submitted at the time of interview. Candidates applying for more than one post should submit separate online application for each post. The hard copy of each online application should be accompanied by separate Demand Drafts. The number of vacancies shown in this notice is provisional, and is subject to variation or even cancellation prior to final selection. SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates/ employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee. The posts are also suitable for Physically Handicapped [Hearing Handicapped (HH), Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor Disability or Cerebral Palsy affected persons with One Arm (OA) or One Leg (OL) affected]. Completion of Ph.D. degree will be reckoned from the date of issue of provisional certificate/notification. Period of experience in the requisite discipline/area of work will be counted after the date of acquiring the prescribed essential qualification. The qualification prescribed should have been obtained through recognised Universities / Institutions. Age and experience will be reckoned as on the last date of receipt of online applications i.e. 15/07/2015. Relaxation in upper age limit will be allowed to employees of the Council/Government/Autonomous Bodies/Public Sector only for Scientist Gr.IV Posts. (a) Ex-Defense Officers and physically challenged are entitled to age relaxation as per rules. (b) Age relaxation up to 5 years is admissible for person who has ordinarily been domiciled in the Kashmir Division of the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989. Relaxation in age, qualification and /or experience may be allowed in case of exceptionally meritorious /deserving candidates with the prior approval of the Competent Authority. Mere fulfilling the minimum prescribed qualifications & experience will not vest a right in a candidate for being called for interview. The applications will be screened by a duly constituted committee and the Institute reserves the right to call for written test/trade test/interview only those candidates who are found to fulfill the criteria evolved by the Screening Committee. IICB/CSIR reserves the right to review the eligibility/ineligibility of a candidate at any stage of the recruitment process and such decision as may result after review, will be final and binding on the candidates. Ineligibility of candidates detected at any stage can render him/her liable to be disqualified/debarred. Outstation candidates called for final interview will be paid 2nd class return train or bus fare by the shortest route, provided they produce the valid journey ticket. Candidates of Indian origin settled abroad who are of proven merit as evidenced by their qualification, rersearch work and experience may be considered by the Selection Committee in absentia. Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in the CSIR laboratories/Institutes depending upon the requirement. In addition to basic pay the post caries other allowances i.e. DA/HRA/Transport Allowance and perks like LTC etc. as per CSIR rules and regulations. Candidates appointed will be governed by the New Pension Rules, introduced by the Govt. of India. The decision of the Director, IICB in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of tests/interview as per relevant recruitment rules and not to fill up all or any of the posts will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence from any individual or his/her agency.
